A server of its own for your organisation, set up, updated and backed up by us. It is the same relaii you can run yourself, and you can take it with you at any time.
A pilot for the first five. Three months free, then half price for the first year. In return, you use relaii every day and have a short weekly chat with us while the pilot runs.

Always included
- A server of your own in the EU (Helsinki, Finland), used only by you. The database and files are not shared with other customers.
- Your own domain, such as
chat.example.com, or a name underrelaii.app. - New relaii versions installed for you, and security updates as soon as they are released.
- An encrypted backup every night, stored off the server and kept for 30 days.
- Virus scanning of uploaded files.
- Channels, direct messages, threads, files, search, and voice and video meetings for up to eight people.
- Push notifications to the relaii apps.
- Federation with other relaii servers. Partners you share channels with pay nothing.
- A data processing agreement.
The number of people is a recommendation
We charge per Space, not per user, and nobody is locked out when you pass the recommendation. It says how many people the server handles with a good margin. If you outgrow your plan, we let you know and suggest the next one. Moving up takes a few minutes and a short restart.
Moving down a plan means moving the Space to a smaller server. We do that for you from a backup, at an agreed time. The file quota is a real limit: when it is full, the Space refuses new uploads until you clear space or move up a plan.
Your data is yours
You can ask for a full backup of your Space at any time, including when the agreement ends. It can be restored on any server with relaii restore, so you can move to running relaii yourself without losing anything. relaii is free software (AGPL), and the hosted version is the same one anyone can download.
When the agreement ends, we delete the Space within 30 days, and the last backups are gone within 30 days after that.
What we can see
Messages are encrypted in transit and at rest. But because we run the server, the key is on a machine we have access to, and the search index is not encrypted. We only go into your Space when operations or troubleshooting require it, or when you ask us to. This is governed by the data processing agreement. If you need nobody but yourselves to have access, you should run relaii yourself.
Payment and cancellation
We invoice monthly or yearly in advance, also as EHF. The agreement runs until it is cancelled, with one month’s notice to the end of a paid period. If we change the price, you hear about it at least two months before.
